27 year-old robbery case
'Evidence missing after 1990 coup'
by Keino Swamber of the Daily Express Friday October 7th, 2011.
After reading this article in the daily express of Friday 7th October 2011, It was usually convenient to see that evidence continues to be missing when held or stored in police facilities. The article explain that in a robbery case that has been going on for a number of years had some substantial evidence of a fingerprint of the alleged has gone missing. When police where question about the evidence there just wasn't any answer to give by the police, They couldn't say if the video cassette still exist. The Representative from the police went further that there was a fire for the 199- coup where the Port of Spain Police Headquarters was burnt, but reassured the Magistrate that he's not saying the tape was burnt.
Still bewildering that from all those year to now the same things happens when evidence is stored in police store rooms. I know we all humans and make mistakes and even Police can make mistakes but some manner of professionalism should also be used to find of have an account for missing evidence. In having a high level of professionalism sure most cases that are ongoing can come to a close.
